Welcome to Salvador!

What was true about Rio de Janeiro is even more true about Salvador!

Do not allow a taxi driver be your first impression of this historic place! A guide booked in advance, speaks your language and gives you initial information on the city. And escorted tours to Salvador and it's fascinating highland are surprisingly affordable!

Two days, three nights are required for sightseeing, one day the historic part of the city and the other day for a scenic drive along the coast.

Include a few days to the Chapada Diamantina area, the former Diamond mining area known for it's splended landscapes, rivers, caves and waterfalls, and finish with a day on the beach, perhaps in Catussaba, which is not too far away from the international airport or to Praia do Forte to the north, easily reached by road (about one hour) or Morro de São Paulo, best reached by a combination of plane and boat, for those seeking something more remote.

Escorted Tours including Salvador:

Look to spend a week on tour and ask for a few customized days afterwards on the beach, as these beaches deserve a bit more time!
